If you are looking for an extremely rewarding career and want to build close relationships with a variety of wonderful and interesting people, you should consider working in Senior Care.  Saint Luke’s Bishop Spencer Place as a fantastic opportunity for a Wound Care RN to work in our 57-bed skilled nursing center.  This is a full-time day position working five 8-hour shifts with some flexibility in scheduled times.

The Work:

Our Wound Care RN works under the direction of the nurse management team and is responsible for assessing wounds and skin alterations, developing care plans, implementing orders and treatments, and evaluating progress the of applied interventions.  Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Evaluating new and continuing residents for wounds and skin alterations
Notifying physician and Nurse Supervisor of wound changes
Implementing orders and providing treatments to heal wounds
Identifying wound types and providing education to other nursing staff
Documenting wound status and treatment interventions
Consulting with residents, family members, and physicians in planning the resident’s care, treatment, and rehabilitation
Providing other direct nursing care as necessary
Participating in QAPI activities including participation in annual survey preparation and survey process, and maintenance of CMS standards.

Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in Missouri.  Wound Care certification is preferred.
